Calling all teen musicians! This FREE open jam from on January 3rd from 6-7pm for anyone interested in learning how to play in a rock band setting. Guitarists, bassists, drummers, singers, and horn players (trombone, saxophone, and trumpet) all welcome! Drums, mics, and PA are provided. All other instruments must bring their own amp. We’ll learn to play:

Are you ready to rock?! Kylie B. is teaching a class for teens learning to play rock instruments on Fridays at Treehouse Studios from 6:00-7:00pm. We’ll read chord charts and learn to collaborate in a rock band setting. This is open to all youth ages 12-18 with beginning experience on a rock instrument. We are currently looking for a rhythm or lead guitarist, another lead and back up vocalist, a keyboardist, and any trombones, trumpets, and saxophones are also welcome! No class on April 3 for spring break.

Tuition is based on a sliding scale of $80-$120 per month.

The rock band class is located at Treehouse studio, 119 S Cayuga St. on the 3rd floor in downtown Ithaca. Please let Kylie know in advance if you’d like to observe by filling out the form below.

This class is for a small group of 5 children, ages 7-10, that want an introduction to skills used in singing such as timbre development, music notation reading, learning about solfege, and practicing appropriate and confident performance habits. My personal philosophy is that if you're not having fun, you're not learning! We will achieve these goals through games and playful exploration. This 10 week class will be an hour long every Saturday from noon until 1pm. Cost is $200 per student for the eight week course. Classes will start January 10 and continue until February 28th. We’ll end class with a showcase of all the new skills we’ve learned!
